Terms of Service

Folio is a marketplace that connects brands with user-generated content creators. Folio is not a party to the creative agreement itself — we provide the booking, escrow payment and delivery infrastructure, and we take a platform fee on each booking.

You must be 18 or over and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may hold both a brand and a creator account under the same email.

Brands pay the package price plus the platform fee (and any optional express fee) at checkout. Funds are held in escrow and released to the creator when the brand approves the delivered content. Creators must deliver within the stated turnaround, measured from confirmed receipt of the product where one is shipped.

Brands may request revisions in line with the booked package before approving. Where a creator delivers late, Folio may refund an express fee, apply a strike to the creator's account, or cancel and refund the order.

Creators confirm they own or have cleared all rights in the content they deliver, including any music, footage and third-party appearances. On approval and payment release, the brand receives a perpetual, worldwide licence to use the delivered content in its own marketing unless the package states otherwise. Creators may use delivered work in their portfolio unless the brand agreed exclusivity in the brief.

No unlawful, misleading, hateful, sexually explicit or infringing content; no attempts to take bookings or payments off-platform to avoid fees; no scraping, reverse engineering or interference with the service.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, repeatedly deliver late, or present a fraud or safety risk. Funds properly owed are still settled.

Folio is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid on the order in question. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the courts of England and Wales having exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: hello@joinfolio.app.
